Thought Kitchen

Thought Kitchen is a boutique catering company that conjures up culinary delights, designing food for thought for a wide range of tables and tastes. Chef & mixologist Elisabeth Stephan combines her stylish aesthetic with a clever culinary expertise to produce alchemical cocktails, epicurean pleasures, tasting explorations and distinctive events.

Skilled in a diverse selection of cuisines, and stemming from a traditional slow-food approach, Elisabeth sources the best seasonal garden & farm produce for her cooking and creations. Her focus allows subtle, surprising flavors to spring from a wide range of perfectly prepared offerings. Elisabeth's training began in her childhood in Germany - both grandparents were bakers, her mother a remarkable chef & her father a natural, wild harvester - and has continued ever since, developing amidst kitchens and speakeasys in New York, Beijing, Vienna, Tokyo & Seoul. Food safaris to Mexico, East Asia & the Sri Lanka have furnished further tools for tasting. She has worked alongside TV chef Ishbel MacIntosh, Dan Barber and Shawn Lonsfjord.  In her test kitchen, she constantly seeks to combine and shake up an array of influences into evolving epicurean experiences.
